With the Champions League final closing the curtain on the 2025/26 campaign, attention has pivoted to the World Cup. Ahead of the competition getting underway on June 11th, Transfermarkt has completed our end of season market values for all the major leagues. Thousands of players across the biggest leagues in the world had their valuations updated and we can now rank the top 100 most valuable players. You can view the full list below and it’s imperative to highlight that Transfermarkt’s policy is to rank players with the same valuation by age.
The top 100 most valuable players in the world
Erling Haaland and Lamine Yamal are the joint-most valuable players in the world at €200m with the Barcelona star ranked first, due to being younger. Both players’ valuations remained the same after the English Premier League and LaLiga updates after excellent individual seasons. Yamal inspired Barcelona to the title with 42 goal contributions in all club competitions, while Haaland scored 38 goals in 52 games for Manchester City.
Kylian Mbappé was previously valued at €200m alongside Yamal and Haaland but he received a €20m downgrade in the LaLiga update. Despite an excellent individual season with 42 goals in 44 games, Mbappe was unable to deliver silverware for Real Madrid and the Spanish team’s decision to downgrade was mainly due to age and off-field factors. The top five is completed by Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise and Pedri, who are both valued at €150 million.
As the graphic above illustrates, there are 13 players in the world with valuations over the €100m threshold and that now includes four PSG players after the Ligue 1 update. PSG now possess the most valuable squad in the world with João Neves, Kvicha Kvarataskhelia and Vitinha ranking amongst the top ten. Despite being the most valuable league in the world, Haaland is the only Premier League player in the top ten with Arsenal linchpin Declan Rice the second most valuable at €120m.
