The World Cup will dominate the discourse over the next month or so with club football taking a backseat temporarily. Supporters from six different continents will descend on North America with 48 nations competing in the most global competition in football. While the domestic campaign has finished for all the major leagues, clubs will be incredibly busy over the next few months with the aim of improving their squad in the transfer market.

Speculation will intensify over the coming weeks with the window officially opening on June 15th. Ahead of the World Cup, Transfermarkt released the market values for all the major leagues around the world, including the English Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and LaLiga. Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland remain the two most valuable players in the world at €200m and you can view the full top 100 here! With all the major players updated, we can now update the list of the top 100 clubs and you can view them below!

The top 100 most valuable clubs in the world

For the first time in their history, Paris Saint-Germain possess the most valuable squad in the world on Transfermarkt. Luis Enrique led the Parisians to back-to-back Champions League titles and their squad value increased by 13% after the Ligue 1 update to €1.37bn. Despite finishing runners up to Arsenal in the Premier League, Manchester City’s squad (€1.32b) remains slightly more valuable than Mikel Arteta’s men (€1.25b). Ahead of the top five league updates, Real Madrid boasted the most valuable squad in the world as highlighted by Florentino Perez in a recent press conference.

But as the graphic above illustrates, Madrid have dropped to fourth place after their squad valuation dropped by €125m in the LaLiga update, which was released on Friday. Barcelona’s squad value also dropped slightly by €15m and they remain fifth. Despite their significant struggles this season, Chelsea remain the only other club valued at over €1b. Unsurprisingly, Bayern Munich (€958m) are the most valuable Bundesliga club at €958m with Inter Milan leading the way in Serie A at €647m. The Premier League dominates the top 20 list with 12 clubs featuring and the top club from outside a top five league is Sporting CP in 23rd.
