Nicolas Jackson is attracting interest from Juventus and AC Milan as he approaches a pivotal summer in his career. The 24-year-old has spent the season on-loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga giants won’t activate a clause to make the deal permanent. Jackson has firmly been Harry Kane’s understudy in Bayern’s phenomenal attack this campaign and he’s scored ten goals in 30 appearances – Jackson’s total game time stands at 1,152 minutes.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl recently confirmed that the Senegal international will return to Chelsea this summer. There was an obligation clause in the contract for around €60 million, that would be triggered if Jackson played 45 minutes in 40 games but that’s not going to materialise. As it stands, Jackson will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign and Chelsea chiefs face a major decision.
It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Jackson could stay at Chelsea, but that will depend heavily on their new permanent manager’s verdict and the desires of the player. João Pedro has enjoyed an excellent maiden season at the London giants but Liam Delap has struggled and certainly hasn’t been an upgrade. Jackson, however, won’t be short of suitors with Juve and AC Milan keen on striking a deal this summer, according to Sky Sports Germany. It’s understood that Juve are a more realistic option currently than their Serie A rivals but it’s unclear whether Chelsea would sanction another loan deal with an option to buy, which is their preferred option.
