The January transfer window is now little more than a dot in the rearview mirror and as such European football has got back to the business of winning games and challenging for as much silverware and success as possible between now and the end of the season. Real Madrid have reportedly identified Hugo Ekitiké as they aim to star a world-class striker in 2027. Madrid are ‘closely monitoring’ the 23-year-old, who has enjoyed a positive maiden season at Liverpool. Erling Haaland remains Madrid’s dream target.
Liverpool have shortlisted Francisco Conceição as a potential replacement for Mo Salah, according to reports in Italy. The 23-year-old isn’t a guaranteed starter at Juventus but is viewed as a potentially cost-effective option.
Barcelona will attempt to sign Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup, if they can’t agree a deal for Marcus Rashford, according to Portuguese outlet Record. It’s unclear whether Barca will reach an agreement over a fee for Rashford and Schjelderup is an alternative.
