The 2026 World Cup has so far been full of thrills, frustrating hydration breaks and superstars shining on the biggest stage. There has already been a grand total of 292 goals scored. Football fans will naturally begin to reflect on the tournament and may start to wonder which players truly stood out as the very best this summer. And luckily for such supporters, Transfermarkt has them covered, as it turns to its amazing community to vote for their World Cup player of the tournament. How the voting works for the TM World Cup Player of the Tournament

The Transfermarkt community has made a pre-selection of six candidates per position (goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards) from which one must be chosen per position. Next, from the four players chosen, you will decide who is the best player of the entire tournament. Voting closes on July 13 so remember to make your selections by then! All of the candidates are listed below alongside their Wold Cup stats this summer.
