While few would argue that the Swedish Allsvenskan is one of Europe’s top leagues, the Scandinavian top-flight is quickly garnering a reputation for developing top young talents. In recent years Swedish clubs have sold impressive stars like Hugo Larsson (€9 million to Eintracht Frankfurt), Bazoumana Touré (€10m to Hoffenheim), Adrian Lahdo (€12m to Como) and, most notably, Lucas Bergvall to Tottenham for €20m. This season’s Allsvenskan is no exception and is packed full of young stars, with one recently breaking the transfer record after Brighton paid no less than €28m for his signature this summer. So who are the most highly rated players in the Swedish Allsvenskan? Based on Transfermarkt’s newly published market value update of the entire league, we have a definitive list of the top 10:

Montader Madjed – Hammarby

Kevin Filling – AIK

Jeremy Agbonifo – BK Häcken

Robbie Ure – IK Sirius

Neo Jönsson – IK Sirius

Silas Andersen – BK Häcken

In fifth place in the list is a player that has made a short but undoubtedly impressive impression on the Swedish top-flight. Häcken defensive midfielder Silas Andersen has gone from strength to strength since making a €1m move from Utrecht in January 2025, where he has bagged an impressive 12 goals and assists from defensive midfield. His performances have not only seen his market value skyrocket from €400k to €7m in less than 18 months, but have also earned him a move to Portuguese giants Sporting, who he’ll be joining for a €7.25m fee in the coming weeks.

Markus Karlsson – Hammarby

Next on the list is Hammarby star Markus Karlsson. The 22-year-old talent saw his market value rise by an incredible €5m in the recent market value update, making Karlsson the fourth most valuable player in the Swedish top-flight and his club’s MVP. Whether in central midfield, defensive midfield, right wing or even right back, Karlsson has never looked out of place for the Stockholm giants and is now unquestionably one of the club’s most important players. Whether they can keep a hold of him this summer remains to be seen.

Elliot Stroud – Mjällby

In third place is undoubtedly one of the most attacking talents in Sweden in the form of Mjällby left midfielder Elliot Stroud. Last season the 24-year-old talent bagged an impressive 15 goals and assists in 28 games and this time around he’s already picked up three in his first eight games. That hasn’t led to a change in his market value in the most recent update, but he still boasts an impressive market value of €8m. And with persistent rumours linking him with a move to Genoa in Italy, it seems like only a matter of time before he departs his club for a record transfer fee.

Matias Siltanen – Djurgårdens

When it comes to exciting young talents in Sweden, few can rival Matias Siltanen. The Djurgården central midfielder has quickly settled at the club since making a €1.2m move from Finland, with that fee now looking like nothing short of a bargain. The latest market value update saw the midfielder’s market value skyrocket from €3.5m to €10m – making Siltanen the most valuable player at his club and the most valuable Finnish player in the world. Since the start of 2026, the 19-year-old talent has been linked with moves to RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Galatasaray and it seems certain that when he does move he’ll demand a fee higher than his club’s current transfer record of €20m.

Zadok Yohanna – AIK

To no great surprise, the player in first place in the Swedish Allsvenskan is also the player that recently broke the transfer record for the entire top-flight. In early June Brighton confirmed the signing of Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK for an eye-watering €28m. Not only is that fee more than three times that of the club’s next highest ever sale, but it’s also considerably higher than the next highest fee received by any Swedish club for one of their players. This, remarkably, comes just 18 games for AIK’s first team, after the player initially impressed in the club’s youth teams. Admittedly, he has bagged an impressive five goals and four assists in that time, but it remains to be seen whether Yohanna can make the step up to play for Brighton and become a Premier League star in the years to come.
