On Monday, Transfermarkt released its latest market value update of the Premier League. As the richest and most valuable league in the world, increases or decreases in market value throughout the league have a profound impact on some of the biggest stars in world football. No less than 225 players saw a change in their market value during this update — but which Premier League stars now out-rank all others in their positions within the English top-flight to make the star-studded most valuable XI? Let’s take a look.

Starting between the sticks, we have Gianluigi Donnarumma, who continues to thrive since making the move to Manchester City last summer. The Italian shot-stopper remains the most valuable goalkeeper in the world at €45 million. He’s joined in defence by City team-mate Josko Gvardiol, who remains the most valuable left-back in the Premier League and the second most valuable in the world, despite his value holding steady at €70m. The Man City duo are joined by two familiar faces from Arsenal at centre-back. Gabriel Magalhães retains his €75m valuation, while William Saliba holds firm at €90m, which keeps the French talent top of the list of the most valuable central defenders in the Premier League and across Europe’s top five leagues.
To the surprise of some, the right-back slot is taken up by a new contender in the form of Dominik Szoboszlai, hwho has earned his place in the XI off the back of an impressive +€15m increase in market value, bringing the Liverpool star to €100m. Although the Hungarian talent is first and foremost a midfielder, he has thrived in Arne Slot’s team in the right-back position and earned his market value rise due to his performances in defence. As such, he joins the XI in that position as the most valuable player in his temporary position across the Premier League.
The midfield engine room is occupied by Declan Rice and Moisés Caicedo. The Arsenal man remains at €120m, the most valuable central midfielder in the league and joint-third most valuable in the world. Alongside him, Chelsea’s Caicedo holds his valuation at €110m, continuing to justify his place among the Premier League’s elite. The Stamford Bridge star also remains the most valuable defensive midfielder in the world, despite Chelsea’s inconsistencies this season.
In attack, Bukayo Saka lines up on the right despite a €10m dip in market value to €120m, keeping his tag as comfortably the most valuable right winger in the division. In the middle of the three is Cole Palmer, whose value also dropped by €10m to €110m, though the Chelsea talent remains the joint most valuable attacking midfielder in the English top-flight and takes up a spot on the left in this starting XI. The only other attacking midfielder to rival Palmer’s market value and to complete the attacking line is Florian Wirtz, who holds steady at €110m due to improved performances for Slot’s team in the last few months. Leading the line, as ever, is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian remains at €200m, keeping his title as the joint most valuable player in the world and the undisputed centrepiece of the Premier League’s most valuable XI, with the full side now worth a combined €1.15 billion.
