Newcastle and Tottenham are among the clubs who could be interested in bringing Darwin Núñez back to the Premier League. The ex-Liverpool star only joined Saudi club Al-Hilal in the summer but was left out of their Pro League squad for the remainder of the season.

Staying with Spurs, the north London side could rival Aston Villa in the race to sign Lyon midfielder Pavel Sulc. The Czech Republic international, 25, has scored 10 goals in 20 Ligue 1 appearances after signing from Viktoria Plzeň.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are competing to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck. The 26-year-old is out of contract in June 2027 and Dortmund may decide to cash in before his deal runs out.
