As 2025 draws to it’s conclusion, it’s time to look back at the most potent goalscorers in Europe’s top divisions across the calendar year. We have accumulated all league goals scored in the top-five leagues (Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, and Ligue 1) and put together a list of the top 20 to discover which attackers have really had their shooting boots on in the past 12 months. 


   

The top goalscorers of 2025

Leading the way is Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé. After a fairly mediocre start to his Los Blancos career by his very high standards, the Frenchman went on to score an incredible 39 goals in 26 LaLiga matches across 2025. In second place is Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane who continues to be prolific, scoring 31 goals in 33 Bundesliga matches in the last 12 months. Third goes to Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland – the Norwegian has scored 27 goals in 30 Premier League games since January 1. In fourth is Marseille’s Mason Greenwood, with 22 goals in 34 Ligue 1 games.  

Fifth place goes to Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy – the Guinean has scored 20 Bundesliga goals in 32 games in 2025. Sixth goes to Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski with 19 goals in 29 LaLiga matches. He is followed in seventh by Atlético Madrid’s Julián Alvarez with 19 goals in 37 games this year. Eighth place goes to Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick with 18 goals in 31 Bundesliga games. Barca’s Ferran Torres (18 goals) and formerly Angers and now Stade Rennes attacker Estéban Lepaul (17 goals) complete the top 10.
